Vurbl Connects With $1.3M

Los Angeles-based audio streaming service Vurbl, which is focused on building a platform for audio streaming, says it has raised $1.3M in a "pre-seed" funding round, the company announced on Wednesday. According to the startup, the round was led by AlphaEdison and also included Halogen Ventures, TEN13, Angellist, and individual angels. According to the company, it will use the funding to develop and launch its platform. The company says it plans to launchw ith over 25 million pieces of audio and podcasts. The CEO and Co-Founder of Vurbl is Audra Gold. The company says it plans to launch its web-based platform in Q4 2020, with plans for mobile apps in the future.
