Orca Security Joins Unicorns With $210M Injection

Los Angeles-based Orca Security, a developer of cloud security software, has joined Southern California's unicorns, raising $210M in a Series C funding. the company said the funding gives it a valuation of $1.2 billion. The funding was led by CapitalG, the growth fund of Alphabet, and Redpoint Ventures. Orca Security develops cloud security and compliance software running on Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The company says its customers include Robinhood, Databricks, Unity, Live Oak Bank, Lemonade, and BeyondTrust. Orca Security is led by CEO and co-founder Avi Shua.
