Senseeker Engineering Buys SE-IR Corporation

Santa Barbara-based Senseeker Engineering, which develops digital infrared image sensing technology, says it has acquired SE-IR Corporation, a developer of cryogenic test equipment and electronics. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Senseeker said the combination will help enable focal plane array (FPA) developers to expedite their FPA development and evaluation process. The company said that FPA developers use Senseeker-designed digital readout ICs to create infrared image sensors, then utilize SE-IR's test equipment to evaluate FPA operation at cryogenic temperatures.
