Monoprice Expands Into Housewares, Home Goods

Rancho Cucamonga-based Monoprice--which has built a huge business selling its own brand of high quality consumer electronics accessories like charging cables, HDMI cables, monitors, 3D printers, and more, is expanding into the home goods and housewares market. According to Monoprice, it will start offering up products including furniture, kitchen and barware, rugs, and throw pillows. The company said it is specifically looking to challenge the high price markups and cost margins currently seen in the home goods and housewares market. In an interesting twist, Monoprice said it specifically will target the male market with its line of products, including first-time home owners and apartment renters. Monoprice now has a fairly diverse lineup of products, ranging from headphones and its own line of 3D printers, to robotic vacuum cleaners, to camp chairs and trekking poles for the outdoors market.
