Cubic Buys Shield Aviation

San Diego-based Cubic Corporation, a major provider of products and services in the defense, communications, and transportation markets, said today that it has acquired the assets of Shield Aviation, a developer of autonomous aircraft systems for the military. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Cubic said it will use the acquisition to expand its Cubic Mission Solutions (CMS) unit. Cubic Mission Solutions develops command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) products for the military. Shield Aviation was also based in San Diego.
