Semtech Deploys LoRa In India

Camarillo-based Semtech, which develops analog and mixed signal semiconductors, says that its LoRa wireless radio frequency technology has been deployed in India. According to Semtech, Hanbit, a provider of end-to-end automation products in the gas, water, and electricity metering market, is using its LoRa devices in its smart meters. Shipping volumes and expected financial impact of the win were not announced. Semtech's LoRa technology is being used to send information about real-time consumption, status, and diagnostic data from water systems.
