Cubic Expands Executive Team

San Diego-based Cubic, which provides defense, transportation, and other products and services, says it has named three new executives. According to Cubic, it has named Mark Schmaltz, Vice President and General Manager of synthetic/digital solutions; Michael Maughan, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, and Kenneth Lowe, Vice President of Financial Operations and Controller. Schmaltz had been at Rockwell Collins for over 30 years; Maughan previously was at General Atomics; and Lowe was previously at L3 Technologies' Electron Devices Division. Cubic says the appointments are related to the creation of a new Synthetic/Digital Solutions line which consists of its maritime, virtual, immersive and game-based technologies.
