TP-Link Rolls Out New Mesh WiFi System

Brea-based networking products developer TP-Link has rolled out another mesh networking product, saying today that its new Deco M4 Dual Band Whole Home Mesh WiFi System is available for just $179.99. According to TP-Link, its new mesh Wi-Fi system can cover up to 5,5,00 square feet, and handles up to 100 different Wi-Fi devices. The company said the new Wi-fi system is aimed at solving many home Wi-fi issues at a much lower price point than mesh networking products have been available in the past. TP-Link says its system includes three devices, supporting dual band, AC1200 operation. Mesh networking hardware communicates between mesh networking nodes to extend a Wi-Fi network, without requiring all of those nodes to be connected directly to an Internet router; instead, those nodes communicate among themselves, and pass off network traffic from node-to-node, usually allowing for much better Wi-Fi coverage.
