HyreCar Teams For Vehicle Tracking, Control

Los Angeles-based car sharing marketplace operator HyreCar, which helps connect car dealerships and others looking to lease out their vehicles to ridesharing drivers, said late Wednesday that it has teamed with another company for a vehicle tracking and inventory management solution. According to HyreCar, it has entered into a strategic partnership with PassTime, a GPS-enabled telematics provider, to offer up advanced vehicle asset and tracking management to those dealers. Terms of the deal were not announced. The companies said PassTime has set up a special ordering portal specifically for HyreCar's dealers. HyreCar runs a program, targeted at ridesharing drivers, which is aimed at providing them with vehicles to drive for services like Uber and Lyft. Those programs also encourage those drivers to purchase the vehicles they are renting.
