League Of Legends Cancels Mid Season Tournament

The Legaue of Legends mid-season tournament was finally cancelled, after an initial plan to delay the tournament to July, in continued fallout to in-person events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) tournament--which is run by Santa Monica-based Riot Games--was held in Taiwan last year. The e-sports industry--like every other industry reliant on in-person attendance--has been dramatically altered in the post COVID-19 pandemic world, with pretty much every in-person event cancelled this year.
