Sophia Amoruso's Girlboss Raises $3.1M

Los Angeles-based Girlboss, a startup founded by former NastyGal founder Sophia Amoruso, has raised $3.1M in seed funding. The funding was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and also included others. Girlboss is a "lifestyle brand" focused on female empowerment, and offers up articles, books, a podcast, and "rallies" featuring talks, panels, keynotes, and workshops led by women. As part of the funding, Lightspeed's Nicole Quinn joins the company's board of directors. More information »
