Cylance Courts Consumers Via Amazon

Irvine-based cybersecurity software developer Cylance is making a push into the consumer market, saying last week that it has rolled out its Cylance Smart Antivirus software on Amazon, just in time for the holiday shopping season. Cylance said it has become part of the Amazon Electronic Software Downloads (ESD) program, which lets consumers purchase and install software on the fly. The company is offering up single device, five-device, and 10-device subscriptions to its software, which uses artificial intelligence to detect virus and malware. Cylance has mostly been active int he enterprise market. Cylance's five device antivirus software costs $39.00 a year.
