Raytheon Expands At Ontario Airport

Defense and aerospace contractor Raytheon Company said Friday that it is expanding in Southern California, and has broken ground on a new hangar at Ontario International Airport. Accoring to Raytheon, the new hangar will house its "flying testbed" platform, a modified 727 airliner which is used for airborne test and evaluation on a variety of technologies, including radars, electro-optical/infra-red sensors, avionics and other systems. Raytheon said the new hangar will have 25 full time employees, and as many as 50 people maximum for 50 people for project-related work.
