DTS Aims At Passenger Monitoring Using AI, Camera

Calabasas-based DTS, which develops surround sound and other audio processing technology, is branching into vehicle monitoring with a new product called DTS AutoSense. According to the company, the new product is an occupancy monitoring solution that can be designed into passenger vehicles. The company says its product provides child seat detection, child presence detection, occupant detection, emotion detection, and passenger authentication, all using on-board artificial intelligence and a single camera. DTS is a subsidiary of Xperi Holding Corporation, which also owns TiVo and IMAX Enhanced.
