NVISIONx Finds $4.6M For Data Risk Reduction

Los Angeles-based NVISIONx, a developer of data risk reduction software, says it has raised $4.6M in a seed funding round. The funding was led by Companyon Ventures, and also included Morgan Stanley Next Level Fund, SixThirty Ventures, Gaingels, Gutbrain Ventures, PBJ Capital, and CreativeCo Capital. NVISIONx develops enterprise software, used to find and defensibly purge files that have no business value, to help to reduce data risks. The company said the new funding will go to build out its exec team, for enhancing its market presence, and technology development. As part of the funding, the company said it has added Rod Adkins to its board; Adkins is former Senior Vice President at IBM and currently Chairman of Avnet, and currently serves on the boards of PayPal, UPS and Grainger.
