I.am+ Raises $117M, Takes Aim At AI Tools

Los Angeles-based I.am+, the tech startup started by pop star will.i.am, said on Monday that it has raised $117M in a venture funding round, and has launched itself into the artificial intelligence tools market for the enterprise. According to I.am+, the round includes Salesforce Ventures, along with other. I.am+ had previously focused on developing headphones and other consumer electronics devices. The company said its new products will focus initially on voice assistance software for customer service, along the lines of Siri and Alexa. Will.i.am is known for being a member of the bank The Black Eyed Peas.
