Jeffrey Katzenberg, Meg Whitman Effort Gets New Name, Quibi

The new, content startup founded by Hollywood mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg and former eBay and Hewlett Packard CEO Meg Whitman, has gotten a new name, Quibi, according to the two at a conference this week. The startup, which had been operating under the name NewTV, is developing "quick bites" of entertainment for mobile platforms. The startup is expected to launch its short form video service sometime next year. The company says it is developing "quick bites of captivating entertainment, created for mobile by the best talent, designed to fit perfectly into any moment of your day."
