GoSite Gets $16M

San Diego-based GoSite, which develops an online platform to help small businesses put up online and mobile websites, has raised $16M in a funding round, the company announced this morning. The funding was led by Longley Capital, and also included Stage 2 Capital, Ankona Capital, Serra Ventures and SaaS Ventures, and angels. Longley Capital is also based in San Diego. GoSite said it will use the new capital to expand its national footprint and for hiring, as well as development of its products. GoSite is led by CEO Alex Goode. The company's software allows small businesses to put up web and mobile sites, handle payments, and more. The company says it now has over 6,000 small businesses on its platform.
