SCE: More Wind, Solar, EVs, Electric Water Heaters Key To Meeting Climate Goals

Southern California Edison says it has a plan to meet strict new goalsClean Power and Electrification Pathway. SCE said that climate change and air pollution pose serious threats, with such impacts as sea level rise and longer, more intense heat waves--which the utility points out are already now occurring. SCE urged the state to develop additional electric charging infrastructure and financial incentives that would lower the purchase price of electric vehicles, particularly for low- and middle-income communities, as way to better encourage consumer acceptance and adoption of electric vehicles.
