AirMap Wins USAF Contract

Santa Monica-based drone software developer AirMap reports that it has won a contract from the US Air Force. According to AirMap, it has been awarded a contract to provide unmanned aircraft system (UAS) traffic management (UTM) services to the United States Air Force (USAF)'s Agility Prime program. The contract is worth $1M, and is via a Phase 2 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) by AFWERX. AirMap said that the USAF will use the company's software to support testing of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in preparation for scaling of advanced air mobility operations.
