Report: Amazon Set To Open Warehouse In Ventura County

Amazon.com is getting set to open up a new "fulfillment center", this time in Ventura County, in the city of Thousand Oaks, according to local paper The Acorn. According to the report, Amazon has leased space in the Conejo Spectrum Business Park, and is now advertising for such positions as driver trainer, warehouse fulfillment associate and sortation associate. Amazon has not announced any details on the center yet. The company already maintains a large "fulfillment center" in San Bernardino. The development also houses biotech firm Atara Biotherapeutics, among a number of local businesses, and is very close to the large corporate campus of Amgen, as well as a number of "design studios" run by automotive firms such as BMW, Volvo, GM, and others hidden away in the Newbury Park area.
