Wavemaker Three Sixty Teams With USC Keck School of Medicine

Pasadena-based Wavemaker Three Sixty Health, LP, the healthcare startup investment fund led by Jay Goss, has teamed up with the University of Southern California's MESH (Medicine, Engineering, Science, Humanities) Academy at the USC Keck School of Medicine. According to the two, they are in a collaborative agreement where the two will collaborate on supporting promising life and health science companies affiliate with USC. The two said they expect the deal to both expand the portfolio of external investment at USC, and also help Wavemaker Three Sixty Health widen its investment funnel. The USC MESH Academy said it will provide referrals to USC-affiliate healthcare and life science startups for possible investments by Wavemaker Three Sixty Health, which will be providing advice and feedback on their company business model, technology platform, and go-to-market strategy, according to the two. Among other parts of the deal, the two said that the USC MESH Academy will offer up a student internship with Wavemaker Three Sixty Health, to help students learn about a career in venture capital and interact with venture capitalists.
