For today's interview, we spoke with Clark Benson , CEO and Founder of Ranker (www.ranker.com), on how the firm is looking to harness that same force to power its own startup, which offers up a way for users to create their own ranked lists of pretty much anything. It's a very flexible, open platform, and is pretty open ended.

Around the 2006 timeframe, they hit $3M, and we saw the unique position that they could occupy in the industry. They kept building really great functionality into the platform, and they were always ahead of the market, and always able to anticipate what customers wanted next. We raised our fund in 2006 to follow this exact model.
