The VC market has right-sized (returned back to mid 90′s levels & less competition). The iPhone was released.

Cloud computing and the open source movements have brought down the costs of starting a company by more than 90%. The movie, “The Social Network” might have had more of an impact on creating future entrepreneurs than any other event of the past 5 years. Thank you, Aaron Sorkin! This never existed a decade ago.
