I was recruited for the role when we were still at AT&T Interactive in October of 2008, by some of my former coworkers at Yahoo, who had already landed here. Louis and Atlanta.

It’s always fun debating companies with Dana because she’s always so knowledgeable on deals – particularly those in the digital media, ad-tech and eCommerce spaces. million users making it considerably larger than some of its peers that have historically received more tech press inches. One of the areas that startups and healthcare investors have turned their attention to in recent years, is leveraging the many advances in technology--wireless, smart phones, software, and more--and applying those to the health area. That division was focused on implementing core technology for the wireless industry.

I get approached about clean tech or biotech periodically – I don’t focus on these. In ad tech there’s Seth Levine at Foundry Group and both Dana Settle & Ian Sigelow at Greycroft. It’s your job to find a continued way to stay on the radar screen of the VC. Our 2008 fund looks spectacular.
