Yes, social networks of 2010 have much better usability, have better developed 3rd-party platforms and many more people are connected. The one major thing that Twitter doesn’t seem to have figured out quite yet is that platform thing or at least how to encourage a bunch of 3rd-party developers to build meaningful add-on products.

The one major thing that Twitter doesn’t seem to have figured out quite yet is that platform thing or at least how to encourage a bunch of 3rd-party developers to build meaningful add-on products. At the bottom end of the stack is storage (S3) and processing (EC2). So … November 2010 and Facebook has 500 million users.
