Irvine-based Solarflare , a developer semiconductor used for high performance, low latency networking, has been acquired by San Jose-based Xilinx. Financial details of the acquisition were not anounced. According to Xilinx, the deal will help the company accelerate its "data center first" strategy.

Surf Air Acquires Rise, Backed By New Funding
