I suspect both were at play in Rustic Canyon Partners that went from a $500 million fund to around a $200 million fund. There are some very talented partners remaining at Rustic Canyon and I’m told some committed LPs. He then profiled his portfolio company FourSquare who started with a very small investment.

The fund--started by Brian Garrett and Rick Smith --has been focused on digital media investments, and so far has made investments in six companies.
