socalTECH has mined our proprietary database of startups and other tech companies to find some of the firms spawned by former MySpace executives. Venture backers : Anthem Ventures, the Mailroom Fund, Rincon Venture Partners. Colin Digiaro, also a co-founder of MySpace, and MySpace CTO Aber Whitcomb are also now running MindJolt.

The company provides SAT, ACT, and other similar test preparation courses and related software. To hear about the company, we spoke with Ramit Varma , co-founder of the company. It was us, funding ourselves from credit cards, literally, to a company that is now on par with Kaplan and Princeton Review.
