Santa Monica-based venture capital firm Anthem Ventures is the lead investor in an avatar-focused, social networking site called Meez. Meez, which is based in San Francisco, said today that it has raised a financing round from Anthem. Amount and details of the funding were not disclosed.

San Diego-based TweetPhoto , an online site which allows users to share photos through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, FourSquare, and other social networking sites, said today that it has raised $2.6M in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Canaan Partners and also included Anthem Venture Partners and un-named angels.
