Santa Monica-based TrueCar.com , the online automotive pricing startup headed up by Scott Painter, said Thursday that it has launched a new tool to help new car buyers. TrueCar said that Damon Cleckler has joined the firm in the position, after serving as executive director of product management at Edmunds.com, where he helped develops Edmunds "True Market Value" and "New Car Finder" products. The company said Cleckler will work on aiding in development of car pricing tools on the site.

My brother is actually at Anthem Ventures, working with Bill Woodward, and I was an intern there in business school. We've also been at a big discount to the other firms for the first seven years we were around, we were half the price of Kaplan and Princeton Review until last year, when they both dropped their prices to match us.
