A quick analysis of venture capital deals in Q1, tracked by socalTECH, finds that there was around $1.4 billion in venture activity here in Q1, up significantly from around $997M tallied in Q4. Interestingly, only Redpoint, Domain, Anthem, and DFJ Frontier have local offices in Southern California.

The company provides SAT, ACT, and other similar test preparation courses and related software. How did Revolution Prep start? We started in 2000. I had worked as a tutor for Princeton Review, and Jake for Kaplan. We started that in 2002, and it's actually our eight year anniversary, on the 20th of September.
