Our guest this week on #TWiVC was Dana Settle , partner at Greycroft Partners , a venture capital firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles. Greycroft is an early-stage VC. Closing a VC fund in 2009/10 is a major achievement in and of itself. Note that these are “gross” revenue numbers. File sharing?

Less than 10 percent of people are taking public transportation, and only about 20 percent of commerce is online. Through this insurance journey, and using behavior-based insurance, we opened up this world around commerce. We're applying that same platform and are now using it for information, commerce, and advertising in vehicles.

They were going to bring the Internet to your mobile phones ushering in the era of “m-commerce.&# Gag. It required content sites to develop totally new content. I’m now a VC. Everybody and their mothers are coming into my offices proclaiming that their developing the latest iPhone App. Or would it?
