Just a few months earlier, Hinshaw had sold his private healthcare IT consulting company, MaxIT Healthcare, to government contractor SAIC for $473 million. They came to San Diego in 1996, when Scripps Health hired Balgrosky as CIO and senior vice president. He founded MaxIT Healthcare in 2001.

He references CIO Bernard Golden’s argument, made in The IT Jobs Cloud Computing Will Create , that while some roles may disappear altogether, others will remain, but in much less demand.

A CEO who has “been there and done that” is traction, especially if teamed with a financial lead (CIO) and a product lead (CTO). Ideally, they will have links to distributors you need, or even be investors in your company as well. File a provisional patent, register a trademark, and reserve your company domain names.
