I first heard the term from Chris Fralic at First Round Capital. I talked in specifics about a bunch of my investments including Factual , MongoLab , Maker Studios and Gogii (maker of TextPlus ). Feature, not a company. It has always stood out in my mind. Whether something is a feature or a company is clearly subjective.

It's a full-blown, B2B social network. When we thought we had the right mix, we went to look for angel capital, and raised $1.3M in angel capital from the Tech Coast Angels, Pasadena Angels, and other unaffiliated angels. He's now at Gogii, which has received investment from Kleiner. It's a double viral loop.
