” If your company was featured there (in the early days of what people called Web 2.0) If you’re an app for “normals” targeting middle America it might be good to target the USA Today or if you’re a B2B site you might target industrial rags. It’s the same thing for me as a writer.

Draw Your Ideas - A VC : Venture Capital and Technology , May 16, 2010 I saw Jack Dorsey give this talk at The 99% Conference last month. Through advertising or direct sales, these sites harvest intent. He’d wasted a year of his life and had a pile of stock options that weren’t very interesting. Tesla is not. It's a great talk.

What a sweet feeling it was last week to see the launch of the photo sharing site Pose , whose application targets shoppers of apparel. I first met the founder of Pose, Dustin Rosen , when he was a junior person with an LA-based venture capital firm called The Mail Room Fund. I am on record as saying that my opinion is that Web 2.0
