The disadvantage is that you can’t install a lot of additional tools that use Javascript. The obvious starting point is to email a few friends and let them know you have a new blog. Don’t be overbearing – just an email saying, wanted to let you know about my new blog. At least that’s true in Wordpress.

Not all bots are benign however.Some bots go through your website looking for web forms and email addresses to send you spam. This doesnt mean that you cant try, of course. You should of course change the numbers "127.0.0.1" You should of course change "SpammerRobot" to the actual user agent you want to block.
