These varied responsibilities are analogous to those of a startup CEO, as movie production crews are essentially temporary ventures. I recently had a chance to observe an intimate conversation between Leonard Maltin and Ben Affleck at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, where Mr. Affleck was honored with the festival's "Modern Master" award.

Santa Barbara-based Mindflash.com , an online training platform site headed by former Mint.com Chief Marketing Officer Donna Wells, said this week that it has officially launched its online trianing platform. The firm says it is targeting small businesses, and offers a way to help those businesses provide employee training.
