Irvine-based Sendio, which develops email security software, has rolled out an upgraded version of the firm's email security appliance. The appliance uses a combination of SMTP tests and other methods to identify e-mail servers, along with sender address verification to very senders of emails to a user.

The start of the argument is that you need to separate using the Internet into “infrastructure & cloud services&# (basically the protocols of the Internet such as HTTP, TCP/IP, SMTP, etc. + My first company was a SaaS software company started in 1999. We could update small portions of the screen rather than an entire refresh.

If you're an application developer, sending emails through your application can be a chore. Jim Franklin: Web developers are good at building web applications. It can be deceptively easy to set up your own, SMTP server, to send email on behalf of that app. It's not something a 26 year old developer usually wants to think about.

Finally we get to: Peter Coffee , Director of Platform Research, Salesforce.com His premise is that we should be beyond having to buy servers, software, or any other infrastructure. Interestingly it was same developers in both companies.
