Malibu-based NexSteppe , a firm developing renewable feedstocks for the biofuel industry, announced today that it has raised $14M in a Series B round of funding. The funding was led by Braemer Energy Ventures, along with CYM Ventures and Zygote Ventures. NexSteppe was founded and is headed by Anna Rath.

MalibuIQ, HRL Team On Commercialization Effort

Malibu-based MalibuIQ and HRL Laboratories , the former research and development arm of Hughes Aircraft which was previously known as Hughes Research Laboratories, said Tuesday that they have tied together to commercialize inventions and IP from HRL.
