Torrance-based Intelligent Optical Systems , a developer of optical fiber sensors, has scored a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the U.S. The EPA said that the funding for Intelligent Optical Systems will go to a sensor for for detecting carbon emissions from deep storage sequestration reservoirs.
