He gossips with the office manager who tells 3 software developers. I don’t like distributed development teams in early stage businesses. I often advise these CEOs to make the tough choices early in the company’s history – either move up North or build your tech team in LA. What about outsourcing?

I often talk with entrepreneurs who are kicking around their next idea. Would you want to run the risk that your former employer could have a claim against the intellectual property you’ve created because you broke company policies and developed your ideas on company resources? Not worth it. Register a company.
