Cliff Allen is someone I've known for quite a few years and he's a go to person for me when I'm thinking about issues around marketing, sales, technology, startups and networking. I moved into writing software to analyze audience data, and wrote a lot of computer graphics software.

They often make great team members such as head of products, CTO, head of sales, CFO, etc. But when I’m looking to write my check I need to look in the eyes of the captain — the maestro who brings the whole orchestra together. Great companies are comprised of great individual point people or functional leaders.

For businesses like this, finding new ways to drive more of these high-value inbound sales calls is key. Those are the two main criteria.
