Equally important, if someone does find your site, your content must stand out above all similar sites, to keep visitors engaged, close a sale, and get customers to return. One of these is blogging, to let people know about your brand, provide links to supportive articles, and generate back-links to your content from other sites.

As the number of sites on the Internet floats around one billion, the challenge with every new startup is to be found and stand out. More important, if someone does find your site, the content better be enticing enough for them to come back. Blogging will improve your site search engine ranking.

Sam Rogoway: We use YouTube as our hosting platform, for a variety of reasons. One, is it makes it easy for businesses to embed that video on their own website, on blogs, and Facebook, and they can also link to that video on their Google Places page. We've also found that online video really helps with search engine optimization.

Several free blog platforms, like Wordpress , are so flexible that you can configure them as a website, as well as your blog, without separate hosting. Every business wants their web site to appear on the first page of search engine results from a relevant search (Search Engine Optimization).

Wordpress in particular is fairly resource heavy right out of the box so speeding up everything else is a critical piece of running a site on this platform. Your content gets to the share site just as it would with the Javascript, sometimes even faster. Also, make sure the image names here are the same ones you’re using.
