I’m very excited to be finally be able to announce that this week we’ve added Sam Rosen to our ranks at GRP Partners in the role of entrepreneurs-in-residence – EIR. He used the 500Startups platform to uber network in the Bay Area where he was living. Come to partner meetings. Help us review a few deals.

I’m not saying I don’t spend time trying to help entrepreneurs that I am not planning to invest it – anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that I do. So I spend much time with them and trying to help. I get paid to network – I love meeting people. I’ll write about that in a couple of weeks.

I’m very pleased today to announce that I invested, on behalf of GRP Partners, in Burstly alongside Rincon Venture Partners , an early stage VC in Southern California whith whom we love to work (and were our co-investors on RingRevenue ). He knows the ad management and ad network businesses. What does it do?

He writes with a great perspective and is well worth reading. I just completed an exercise where I went out to hire a new associate for my VC firm, GRP Partners. I programed macros to help my mom with her Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheets for work. on all the computers and established a network using Novell.

The truth is I have been thinking a lot about the topic, I just haven’t been writing about it. But this coming generation is much more likely to be inspired by The Social Network and want to be entrepreneurs. AWS helped lower the cost of starting a company by 90%. I plan to write about this phenomenon soon.
