So PPC (pay-per-click) advertising on social networks has performed poorly to date. First, I have chosen who to follow on Twitter so the information in my stream is self selected. And if they can monetize their follower base then they have an incentive to grow their base, Tweet more, engage more and write better quality Tweets.
