Los Angeles-based startup accelerator MuckerLab , which is headed by Erik Rannala, has tapped Brea-based Dreamhost , the web hosting company, as the "official" web hosting and application hosting provider for the accelerator, the firm is announcing today. Dreamhost has been in the area since it was founded in 1997.

Los Angeles-based Launchpad LA , the business mentoring and acceleration program which has been spearheaded by Mark Suster and Adam Lilling, looks to be gearing up for its third class. According to the group's web site, it will kick off the next class in November 2011, and continue until early spring 2012.
