Burstly, a Santa Monica based company, provides an open and free ad management platform that helps mobile application developers better monetize their inventory. He has many of the attributes I look for in an entrepreneur and importantly he has deep domain experience in ad management. I’ll explain in detail below.

We cater to mobile phone developers--right now the iPhone, and coming soon to Android. You have advertising networks and mediation players, but you don't really have an ad management platform like ours. Ad networks were springing up, but there was no infrastructure to power them. Our space is pretty young.

How is this different from a typical content delivery network (CDN)? These large mobile carriers have audiences, but something they dont have content services to attract and retain subscribers to a mobile network. The other thing we do, is were very transparent about sharing data with them, like user data and advertising data.
