Irvine-based WebVisible , which helps small businesses place online advertising, said this morning it is in a big hiring push, and is immediately looking to hire over 75 employees across sales, IT, software engineering, and product design positions. We also make some e-commerce revenue, because some people are ranking products, so we can make affiliate revenue or lead revenue on clicks on things like cars. Although I've been in Los Angeles, my last company was actually based in Chicago. That's the initial business model, which is ads and affiliate revenue. Thanks, and good luck!

With my background as CTO of Buy.com, if I wanted to hire a Java or.NET developer, I could do a search on those titles with a keyword, and create a list, constrained to Southern Orange County or Southern California. Thta kind of determines how valuable the product is that you're building. What's the business model for the service?
