We had an idea to recapture what we saw was a huge pool of unlimited corporate resources. How did the idea for the company come about? They sign up through a web portal, online, and they create a resource pool. I also spend a chunk of my career in software development, working on enterprise applications.

Kanaan Jemili: Garry Winnick had the idea a few years ago, when he saw the shift happening from traditional video to digital video. He saw that the industry was being disrupted globally, and actually started with the idea of building a new company that could be scalable, and flexible, and offer delivery of that content at competitive pricing.

Burstly, a Santa Monica based company, provides an open and free ad management platform that helps mobile application developers better monetize their inventory. I don’t intend either, Burstly has respectable and strong competition. I’ll explain in detail below. Enter Burstly. I like that.

Gilt Group is currently the largest private sale web site in US. In the show we talked about why this is important to mobile application developers. Configurable from desktop-based web-based UI. Competition: McAfee , Symantec. I don’t like the idea of taking on WebEx or GotoMeeting. Time will tell.

Most importantly, the community has been contributing some amazing test implementations and demonstrating the fun and utility of some good-natured performance competition. But we have an idea for dealing with Gozer. We also want the ever-increasing diversity of options for web development to be represented.

Yes, it’s true that FOMO (fear of missing out) is driving some irrational behavior and valuations amongst uber competitive deals and well-financed VCs. hours per day on average, and that’s excluding the other 13 hours a day where we have our mobile devices, our connected TVs, our iPads and Kindles and soon our cars connected to the web.
